Similarities and difference between anxiety and panic attack
There are numerous problems faced by people when they have to appear in public, or especially encounter things they fear. Hence, there are many coping abilities as well used to overcome fear, but sometimes even they are not enough to ease disturbance. However, neglected discomfort can take sever forms and they will halt many life activities. In fact, many people are seen lacking in their personal and professional life because they cannot cope with their apprehensions. These are actually accounted in terms of anxiety or panic, which is two forms of problems, related terrifying objects. However, many people take this condition to extreme levels that they start having frequent attacks involving feelings of death. These attacks do not have any medical condition involved, but hinder daily routine of people to a great extent.
It might be though that panic attack and anxiety attack are both similar things, but actually they are different in their category. Panic attack is a clinical disorder, which has severe form than anxiety attack. Also, panic attacks are more frequent, and people suffering from this problem face more uneasiness. However, it has been noticed that anxiety attacks are just resultant of severe anxiety arose often. Therefore, many people who cannot control their sufferings lead themselves to panic attacks. This is why; individuals try to control their panic attacks also, but fail miserably and develop agoraphobia, health anxiety and panic disorder. So actually, panic attacks have a weaker version of problem, and that is anxiety attack.
However, there are considerable similarities also that intersect certain points of anxiety and panic attacks. And, these similarities lie in their symptoms. First of all, both of them have a cause; some situation, object or anticipation which leads to attacks. However, when a person faces his cause; he finds him helpless in cope the situation, and falls prey to wrong alarm sent by body. There are major symptoms whose presence defines a person having this problem, and they are; shortness of breath, pounding heart, trembling/shaking, sweating, palpitation, feeling of dying, choking or inability to escape. All of these symptoms are common in both, but actually they are more severe in panic attacks. This is where point of differentiation lies, but both have same consequences that person develops extreme phobia of that thing.
Even, both anxiety and panic attacks create unhealthy psychological environment for a person, but still they are both curable. In fact, it does not matter at what level problem is; rather only determination can take person out of his present mental condition. And, they can also enjoy a life that is free of apprehension, leading to mental well being.
